Clayton gets silver in women’s 100m

Jamaica's rising starlet Tina Clayton ran a new personal best of 10.76 seconds on her way to the silver medal in the women's 100 metres at the Tokyo World Athletics Championships at the Japan National Stadium.

USA's Melissa Jefferson-Wooden took the world title in a championship record 10.61s, with reigning Olympic champion Julien Alfred of St Lucia third in 10.84s.

Shericka Jackson was just outside the medals, finishing fourth in 10.88s.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was sixth, running 11.03s in her final World Championships.
