Popular media personality Miss Kitty has revealed that she recently underwent emergency surgery, sharing that the unexpected health scare forced her to spend her birthday in hospital.

In an emotional social media post, the entertainer opened up about the ordeal, describing it as both "frightening and humbling," but expressed gratitude that she is now home and recovering.

"Many of you have been asking where I've been... I had to undergo an emergency medical surgery, and unexpectedly, that's how I spent my birthday," she shared.

Miss Kitty said she is thankful she listened to her body when something felt off, a decision she believes made all the difference.

The popular personality also praised her medical team for their care and compassion during what she described as a vulnerable moment.

She reserved special thanks for her husband, calling him her "rock," and her mother, whom she described as her "prayer warrior," for supporting her through the difficult period.

Despite being on the road to recovery, Miss Kitty admitted that one of the toughest parts has been being unable to fully care for her young daughter.

"The hardest part... is not being able to lift my sweet baby," she shared, noting the emotional strain of having to tell her child she is not well enough to play.

Reflecting on the experience, especially during the Easter season, she said she is grateful for life, health and the support of loved ones and fans.

Miss Kitty has since asked supporters to keep her in their prayers as she continues to heal, adding that she looks forward to returning soon.

She ends by wishing everyone a "happy, safe and Holy Easter".
